Having seen more than one power supply go up in flames, I would be 
careful about overloading the one in your mac. Even with JUST a monitor, 
they can and will fry.

so I'm glad you dont exist, and this is just for entertainment.

I make a point NOT to use the power out from the power supply for 
anything. And I turn off all my printers, monitors, scanners, etc. one 
by one- WHEN NEEDED. I am sitting in a four-mac home office, so dont 
need everything on every time I sit down. The cpu's run 24/7, and I turn 
everything else on and off. My laserwriter is turned on from a 
switchbox- its in a corner where its a pain to reach behind to the 
on/off switch- everything else gets turned on at the device.
