Having seen more than one power supply go up in flames, I would be careful about overloading the one in your mac. Even with JUST a monitor, they can and will fry.
so I'm glad you dont exist, and this is just for entertainment. ;-) I make a point NOT to use the power out from the power supply for anything. And I turn off all my printers, monitors, scanners, etc. one by one- WHEN NEEDED. I am sitting in a four-mac home office, so dont need everything on every time I sit down. The cpu's run 24/7, and I turn everything else on and off. My laserwriter is turned on from a switchbox- its in a corner where its a pain to reach behind to the on/off switch- everything else gets turned on at the device. good luck gregg _____________________ gregg hillmar scenic & lighting design portfolio & life as we know it: http://www.hillmardesign.com _____________________ On Thursday, June 20, 2002, at 01:36 PM, Clae wrote: > I added a female IEC "kettle" lead to a 4-way powerboard, and plugged > it inot the auxiliary power out on the back of my mac.
