Yeah, my B&W 300 is my favourite (so far).  I bought it back in '99 to
replace my ancient (but still kick-ass IIsi) and I've done as much as I can
on this thing.  You can install the orig. version of 8.6, there's no
difference really, it's just that the B&W disk came with set up already for
just the B&W.  You'll probably just have to tweak it a bit for your machine.
I wouldn't install 9.2 as I find it buggy especially when it comes to using
a DSL connection.  9.2 was meant for OS X so if you're not using OS X then
there's no need to install 9.2.  BTW OSX runs pretty decent on the B&W
(depending on the size of ram you've got).
