absolutely, but this of course makes e-business impossible.  i avoid it
myself, but it is awfully convenient.  still, i do avoid it when at all
possible because of security concerns.  then again, even if you give
them your credit card over the phone it may wind up in the same data
base as if you'd used the web, and these have been cracked repeatedly. 
amazon.com amongst others have been hit before.
