I guess I simply don't bother with mail/web order -- why give money to strangers far afield (mostly in the US ;) when you can provide support for your own local economy without paying a penalty in terms of cost, and paying for S&H. Living in a big city means that I can usually walk into a store and get things at the same cost as if I were to mail order. Plus, it's worth "losing" your credit card once in a while and having the bank re-assign a new account number to you (with my credit card I've found that automatic withdrawals get transferred to the new account).
