Out to pasture? You may not have needed to do that. Microtek says it 
is releasing its ScanWizard drivers for OS X tomorrow. We'll see. Of 
course the original question was if a SCSI scanner would work... and 
that I don't know.

And your comment of getting a new scanner may be relevant, they are 
getting better and better and cheaper and cheaper.
