The faster Firewire couldn't happen because the standards aren't set yet. My
guess is 7470 chips don't have the quantities. Apple has a vested interest in
Firewire and should drag their feet on USB 2. How many fast Firewire devices do
you have?
Looks as though the low end model will be almost as fast as last weeks high end
model; That looks good to me. Im not using this old G3 till Jesus rolls me a
joint and Moses lights it.
