Hmmm...  I downloaded the Photoshop 6.0 tryout onto a 9.22 G3 300MHz machine 
at my office, and the loading time isn't bad.  It isn't instantaneous, but 
not bad.  Playing around with the colors didn't seem too bad either (at least 
with a 1760x1168, 32 bit color digital photograph).  Considering I can get 
a G3 at auction for less than $150, including a 17" ColorSync monitor, I can 
understand using one for graphics-- assuming one already has Photoshop or is 
satisfied with GraphicConverter (as I certainly am, for just manipulating my 
snapshots).  I spent much more time considering the results of my actions
than waiting for them to complete.
