Dear Roger: I consider myself neither immature nor ignorant, but if that is your opinion then you're entitled to it. I have also worked with the older generations of Macs PPC 7200 and a G3 266. I ran Photoshop 6 on the G3 and was less than pleased with the responsiveness versus running Photoshop on a Pentium II 400. It is a simple fact that the faster more modern G4's beat all of them.....there is no contest! And, running Photoshop, Illustrator or Quark on a fast G4 as compared to a G3 is not even worth arguing about.....that was my entire point! Using a Mac Classic for Desktop publishing in 1989 would give you a pretty good result, but you certainly wouldn't have even thought of doing so in 1995. The evolution of computers is a good thing! Life in the 14th Century had it's attractions but I prefer the 21st. Also, it totally annoys me to have people post that they had "heard" about the various untrue rumors regarding OS X. I've even seen posts from people bashing OS X and they've never even tried it. Progress is inevitable and OS X is a fact for the average Mac user. Now, if you prefer to continue using a 7300, that's fine, but don't go whining about new apps that won't run on your ancient, out-dated Mac. Sorry for the rant, people, but I feel strongly about this!
