RE; I thought only I did stuff like that :) lol Im it turned ourt ok,anyway if anyone is useing a cable modem I just learned the hard way (disregard the install technician) ethernet takes lightning also,fried my ethernet, but the install of a replacement card saved replaceing the motherboard,so what else will fail only time will tell, but found a cable and ethernet line protaector at computer advantage , I love that place, best wishes
