i'll do that, it may not be till the weekend thou, i've been roped into putting grounded outlets etc. into my aunts house up here, which with my back problems pretty much takes care of me for the day. ps, if you really like it you could always throw some mov's my way, digikey has the big ones, and you do need to put it on a big breaker, preferable the same rating as the main breaker or at least 100 amps, and you do need to check after a storm etc. to make sure it hasn't pulled the breaker because of a big surge, but they are usually so brief that it won't pull the breaker even if it's huge. you can also put some neon lamps on it to make sure it's on, or even put in a relay connected to low voltage wiring and a lamp inside where it's safe. and because of their nature, never, never open the cover without cutting the power to the surge arrestor, a big enough surge can make them literally explode! any way, i'll document it all by the end of the weekend, with a nice drawing and appropriate cautions and all, and of course a disclaimer of any and all consequences, i'm not worth suing any way, but lawsuits are all the rage these days.
