nope, no scanner yet, a major oversight on my part that i'll hopefully
have corrected by winter.  however, i do have a couple cad packages (one
mech. and a couple demos for electronics) and they will produce a pict
file.  i also have the next to newest copy of the nec as a pdf, which
they are good enough to give away for free on the nfpa website (i think
that's where i found it), and there's very little difference in the
basic regs from year to year, although they have finally made it more
readable.  of course the most recent version is $$, and rarely necessary.

re: my back, yah, still fighting for disability.  i figure i can do
about one outlet a day for my aunt.  it is important that i get some
exercise.  at least my physical therapy and proper pain management has
improved my sleep and reduced the migraines, those are the real killers,
i usually can't even remember anything that happened when i've had one,
at least not very well, but maybe that's a good thing.
