On a tangent, I just bought a Special Edition WD 80GB 7200rpm 8MB cache
IDE for $107 shipped from newegg.com. Compared to my Maxtor 2MB cache
40GB 5400rpm, ATTO tools reports a 2-fold increase in sustained
read/writes. Pretty good me so thinks.
