Yes, I've tried, but the boot process doesn't get that far. It just sits 
there. As I recall, the USB doesn't even get power to it in that 
condition. (I confess I haven't tried it with an ADB keyboard...)

One more note. Unlike the AGP G4s the Yosemite board has lots of LEDs. 
When the machine fails to boot, one of those near the main logic board 
power connector fails to light.
