RE; so far A firewire and or USB PCI card for mac counts as built-in, useuly,but its still good to ask and insure yours is not some obscure exception,it may also help to know someday that if a usb or firewire on the motherboard port fails,you can get around it by adding one of these cards as opposed to replaceing the mainboard,,,just in case you ever need to,, best wishes
