Thanks to all for your great help on my powered
FireWire card question.  Guess I�ll go buy the iPod
and start ripping the songs from my CDs.

One comment, are FireWire cards available for the Mac
that have power connectors on the board?  If I�m
thinking correctly, (there I go working without tools
again...) if I hook the iPod through a powered
FireWire hub, the iPod should charge and operate
without any problems.
