Why don't you just order PowerPrint and be done with it?  I'm currently
using it on my 7300/200 (yes I know it's not a G3 but the situation is the
same) and a Canon BJC-200e.  You don't need to scrap your PC stuff each and
every time you switch to Mac.  PowerPrint also has parallel to USB cables
available.
