you should have 4 slots for ram each will hold a max. of 256mb for a total max of 1gb ..ish.
another list you want to get on is the LEM swap list < always helps to trade for upgrades if ya can > There is also a chance that you can go overboard on upgrades before losing justification in getting an AGP G4 <PCI G4 is virtually same as B&W with a G4 chip> so here's an example for you of an upgrade path and what you can get things for if you have the time to look around...< I may of gone a little overboard <G> - happens> Here is what I started with about 4 months ago.... (when I first joined) B&W G3/400 DVD-rom SCSI pci 0 ram 0 video card 0 Hard drive ($285) here's what I have Today, and just finished it off with a 60gb HD < have an 8 in at present from old Umax C600 > G4/400 (overclocked to 450) ($3) ($65 est.from a trade/sold G3/400 for $62) 60gb ATA HD ($70) DVD/CDRW 8x8x8x24x ($65) 100mb Zip Drive ATA ($20) Zip Bezel ($6) 1GB Ram ($110) Radeon Mac ddr 32mb ($100) G-port < serial adapter where internal modem goes > ($20) SoundBlaster PCI ($45) Floppy USB ($20) 20" Apple Multi-sync ($60) *shipping included in prices* best deal of all was my 20" Apple multi-sync I got off ebay and picked up locally < saved $50 shipping charge > Total as sits today ($814) ...ish. when I added it all up today, $800 clams for a B&W system seems a bit much... especially remembering back 6mos or so trying to find a B&W Tower under $300 for my broke a _ _ . but then I remembered back to '96 i think it was when I thought I got such a good deal on a 6 mo. old 6320 ( with remote control =) ) system/boxed for $800. I dont remember if I was any more or less happier with my almost new, almost top of line Mac but this thing sure does scream for an old man of 3yrs of age. =) btw it speedtests overall between a factory G4/800 and a G4/733. (speedrun 1.1 - free / http://www.danicsoft.com/) hope this helps you along the way and gives you a little idea, I know this list sure has helped me out alot =) and for that Im very thankful.
