I have discovered a very good reason for installing this update if you have an ATI Radeon video card. The first time I tried to open FrameMaker+SGML 6.0 after installing the card and its bundled drivers, my Beige G3 froze. Force quit would not work--I had to do a hard reboot. It took me longer to figure out than it should have, but I tracked the conflict down to the ATI Graphic Accelerator. Without it installed, FrameMaker started up fine. With it, FrameMaker froze the computer every time. The ATI update installs new drivers and flashes the ROM on the Radeon card. After running it, no more problems with FrameMaker.
