This isn't really a G3 problem, but I need some advice. I have a D-Link DCM-200 cable modem that I am sharing amongst my roommates with a DI-704 router and another D-Link hub. My problem is that when one person starts using a lot of bandwidth when downloading large files (music, movies, etc) the rest of the users have VERY slow access.
Is this a router problem? Is the router just not doling out the bandwidth evenly enough? This is a Mac and PC network, and the main problem user is a PC. Is there a way that I can limit his bandwidth from the router, his computer directly, or any other way. I don't mind him downloading these files, I just want the speed to be split evenly.
