Linda, My belief is: 1) all beige & B&W fall in this category with respect to 256 meg mem of any type (whether PC100/133/etc) showing up as 128 meg. 2) OWC has a 256 meg PC133 for G4 & cube (except for orig G4 PCI Graphics Yikes), imac 350-700 mhz. It is not spec'd for G3 beige or B&W (OWC133SD256328). 3) OWC has a 256 meg PC100 that is spec'd for G4 AGP/Sawtooth/ Gigabit, Cube, imac 350-700 & emac (OWC100SD256328). 4) OWC shows another 256 PC100 rated for all G3 beige, B&W, G4, imac/emac (OWC100SD256168). Note: It may not work in G3DT because it's 1.22" high & I think the DT takes 1.12" or 1.15" high.
It would appear that what you may have is similar/same as item 2, depending on who the vendor is. Seems to fit what you describe. Only way I know would be to call the vendor & ask. Even then you may not get the right answer but should have recourse. Somebody else on the list may have a better answer. But I thought the B&W 450 was the newer generation mac and it doesn't work as a 256 either. Yet it works as a 256 module in the 400 iMac. Am I correct? Also, how does one know when they buy it if it has both sides because you can't see inside the packages? And will one sided memory not be recognized to its full capacity in my office 500 G4 and all the newer G4's/ or will it?
