If you remove the finger guard from the bottom of the upper part of the clam shell, then the DT will accept any height SDRAM. You can also squash the finger guard a little and achieve the same result. This finder guard is a actually holdover from the 7500/7600 case, in which case there was no RAM under that part of the case. Had Apple raised the height of that finger guard by 1/8", during the conversion from the 7500/7600 series (which includes the 7200 and 7300) to the G3 DT series, then the Beige DT would have been able to accept conventional SDRAM from the git-go. -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
