The strange thing is that all three cards work in my 7500/G3. So, I am
wondering if there is any particular quirk of the beige G3 that would
prevent usage of a PCI USB card. I'm running OS 9.2.2 in the beige and
OS 9.1 in my 7500/G3. I've installed the cards as often suggested
(insert the card and reset CUDA).
Ideas anyone?

I have a combo card (usb/firewire) that works fine in my rev 1 rev a minitower.

Did you try reinstalling the software? Have you downloaded the usb card
enabling software from Apple?
