No.  Just a bunch of stuff doesn't work in X anymore.  Any hardware or software
that requires local talk is history, especially printers.  (I'm hoping someone
will hack this...there are already serial port hacks for X.)  And a bunch of
stuff in X doesn't work in 9, obviously.  (Maybe someone will write an X
emualtor for 9, just for occasional use and convenience, kind of the opposite of
Classic.)

I guess the history of Mac is full of aftermarket fixes, hacks and upgrades. 
That is a very good thing.  Maybe a lot of the support for 9 things will come
along in freeware and shareware.  We can only hope.
