I generally like the Mac updates, they are infrequent and almost always
offer an improvement.

10.2.x updates have offered a lot.
G4 firmware update allowed certain PC nVidia cards to be used in a mac
without flashing.
There have only been 3 (?) security updates for 10.2 so far, how many have
there been for windows/ie/oe in the same timeframe.  All of Microsofts
updates fix bugs they made or increase their control of your computer, I
can't reember the last time a windows update actually improved performance
of my machine, many have actually lowered it.

The only mac thing to disrupt this, imo, is quicktime.  The updates in my
experience have offered nothing new or improved, unlesss you count the
carbon sound update which is included with quicktime 6.02v2.
