From: John Collins <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Crossover problem A couple weeks ago I posted my problem and never got back to the list with the resolution.

The 9600 drive is 60 gb(both Maxtor) so space is not a problem. >It is partitioned into 3 volumes with 40 gb for the one being used. It also >seems that the new folders on the 9600 took up much more HD space than the >original files--I know this happened in some instances but not consistently. I had several responses and one was the right answer. I had inadvertently formatted the new 60gb Hd as HFS standard on all 3 partitions. Don't ask me why. I knew better, but since I didn't think I would have done that--I didn't check until later. I had no idea it would make such a difference--I filled 60 gbs up fast. Thanks to the poster the problem went away quickly. My current question has been discussed fairly recently on the list but I don't remember a resolution. I bought a new pc133/256 mb RAM at Office Depot (>rebate cost $20). Put it in the G3/450 and it reads 128 mb. Moved stick to different slot and then to my G3/350 and no change. It was Kingston ValueRam and I have several other sticks purchased previously with no problems. Thinking I had a bad stick--I returned it for another and had the same problem. I have since returned it, but wonder if it was something I did wrong or what else caused the problem. John in Tucson -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
