Thanks for all the suggestions. Many agree with Dan that it is the battery, so I'm going to order another pram battery right away. I got my last one at OWC, and while I've had good luck with most of their products this battery had too short a life. Does anyone have a source they are happy with? I have to do this mail order--our friend from Lubbock lives in the Big Apple compared to my neck of the woods :-)
While I'm waiting for the battery, does anyone have an easy way to replace this little sob? On my beige G3 it is wedged under whatever that card is in the PERCH slot (I'm looking at my G3 diagram off the macgurus site). The last replacement in June took an hour or two to wiggle out and back in again. I was afraid to mess with the card since I didn't know what it was. Bonnie > It's your pram battery.
