You can remove the PRAM battery without having to remove the I/O card.  Just
pop both ends of the little black plastic retaining clip off and pull the
battery out.  If you feel the need to remove the I/O card then remove the 3
phillips screws holding it in place 2 inside and one out) and yank it out.
It's not as fragile as you might be imagining.  I can replace a PRAM battery
in that particular Machine blindfolded and in less than 30 seconds...so it
shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.
