Thanks for the tip, though that wasn't the problem. The problem was, I've now discovered, that although the H-P website states that Jaguar includes all necessary software for printing from the H-P LaserJet 4, 5, and 6 series, at least on my Cube (I didn't install the software), that was not the case.
When I downloaded (for the second time!) the printer software from the H-P website and installed it, the printer appeared in the printers list and now I can print fine. Appreciate your trouble.
