Has anyone else tried iMovie 3, now available for free download from Apple?

I love the features but I find it klunky to operate.  You press Play and wait
long enough for the pinwheel to start operating.   There are a number of other
annoying things too.  There is a bug report interface built right into the menu,
which I used last night.

I wonder if iMovie 3 is the first wholly X, not carbonized version of the
program, which would account for new operating defects to be worked out.
