Hi Peter & all; Back again! So, if I understand correctly, ATA Bus 1 (which I assume is J10) can power 2 EIDE/UATA drives with the supplied cable that is hooked to the ATAPI CD, which is currently on Bus 0 (J9), but the unused supplied 3 connector cable will not work with 2 EIDE/UATA drives on Bus 0? What I am thinking is to use my ATA 40GB Maxtor as the boot drive on ATA buss 0 and use the SCSI HDD in another bay. Another question. Can the 2 SCSI busses use devices with the same ID #'s? Example, ID 5 on SCSI buss 0 and ID 5 on SCSI buss 1. Also, I think that both the factory internal and the external SCSI connectors are SCSI buss 0. Is this correct? My MT is presently configured as follows:
ATA buss 0 = ATAPI 24X CD SCSI buss 1 = HDD on SCSI card SCSI buss 0 = Zip drive --Thanks; Rev. George --Maranatha (means the Lord cometh) -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
