Yes, I saw that posting. You could try that next.
Also did you have this problems before or after you installed the 
Logitech s/w? If so you could try installing USB Overdrive instead of 
the Logitech s/w. I know that there are versions for OS 9.x and OS X. I 
myself used the USB Overdrive s/w for my Logitech mouse in the past with 
OS 9.
