I recently upgraded my B&W/300 with an XLR8 G4/350 ZIF. I made sure that the B&W firmware was updated before installing the ZIF. I was able to overclock the G4 to 400 and to help cool it I used Arctic Silver and installed a heatsink fan. Now I'm trying to overclock it again to 450 BUT my system freezes at the grey apple logo.
Does anyone know if the XLR8 G4/350 ZIF has a limit to 400mhz or can it actually be overclocked to higher speeds? I've looked through the xlr8yourmac.com site for hints, tips, etc. but all those who are using XLR8 G4/350's have only reported going as high as 400. No one seems to mention anything of going beyond 400. Is this the limitation for this particular chip OR is it the limitation of my B&W? Remember I did the firmware update as recommended by the company that sold the ZIF and by the reviewers on xlr8yourmac.com. Thanks in advance. -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
