Running 10.2.4. My machine also won't boot into 9.2 at all. 9.1 or 10
work fine. I worked on that problem for several weeks, and finally
decided that if the machine was happy in 10 I'd leave it there. Nobody
needs to try to solve these problems, I'm happy with my machine and no
longer need to boot into 9.2.2 or use the internal sound. I just wanted
to give anyone else struggling with sound problems an easy out. Give up
and replace the sound hardware with a cheap external USB sound
provider. The iMic rocks!
