I recently acquired a 266 G3 desktop. It came with 9.1 installed and I couldn't get any sound to come out of it. I installed Jaguar on it today and still no sound. On OS 9, whenever I try to turn the volume up in the Sound control panel, the computer turns it back down (i.e. the slider goes back to zero). On OS X, the slider sticks where I put it but still no sound.
I zapped the PRAM twice already. I tried plugging in headphones in the speaker jack and I got nothing.
