You have Samba installed on your server...but is netatalk installed? Netatalk is an AFP implementation (and some other related protocols) that runs on Linux and other similar OSes. I have a beige G3, a Quadra 610, and even an Apple IIGS that share files through netatalk on my Linux server at home. With Samba also installed for the various Win32 boxen I have, I can send a file from any computer to any other computer. By letting the various Apples talk to the network with their preferred protocols and letting the Win32 boxen talk to the network with their preferred protocols, I stay reasonably sane. :-) http://netatalk.sourceforge.net/ _/_ Scott Alfter / v \ [EMAIL PROTECTED] (IIGS( http://alfter.us Top-posting! \_^_/ pkill -9 /bin/laden >What is the most annoying thing on Usenet? -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
