I think that unless you're doing heavy graphics it's ridiculous to say that 256MB is not enough RAM.
Hmm, that'd be the reason for me saying what I said then... ---
Considering how much good graphics software costs, if you have that kind of money to begin with, splurge on a newer machine!
And this could also be the reason for NOT having so much money to spend on newer hardware... :^/
