Hi all,I need to ask about an epson c82 printer I purchased several months ago,its sits idle and off most of the time, it has 4 separate ink tanks, when I first got it performance and clearity were outstanding, but not my pictures look muddy and out of focus, I tried change to a new set of tanks, I underwent all off the resets and nozzle cleaning, no change, are thee nozzles part of the tanks? or located in carriage? if so can I manualy clean them? I got it from best buy, but I hate to take it back if its something common and simple, thankyou for the help
I have a C82, and it is also used only infrequently. Hot summer temperatures and low humidity only exacerbate the problems of ink drying out. It replaced a previous Epson 740 which had similar problems in the summer months. What I do is turn it on once a day during the warm weather months. Yes it wastes a little ink, but the daily cleaning cycle seems to keep the nozzles functional no matter if it's a week or more between actual printing.

I don't worry about it in the winter months when it's cool and our humidity goes up. Not the perfect solution but it works for me in my climate.
