Hi all,I need to ask about an epson c82 printer I purchased several months ago,its sits idle and off most of the time, it has 4 separate ink tanks,when I first got it performance and clearity were outstanding, but not my pictures look muddy and out of focus, I tried change to a new set of tanks, I underwent all off the resets and nozzle cleaning, no change, are thee nozzles part of the tanks? or located in carriage? if so can I manualy clean them? I got it from best buy, but I hate to take it back if its something common and simple, thankyou for the help
My guess is that it had only a 30 day warrenty?
The nozzle parts that require the cleaning are in the printer itself. Note also that the hoses and such can suffer from drying out too. And if you run too many cleaning cycles, the felt pad in the bottom gets *wet*, and the printer leaks!
Our Epson C60 and C82 have to be used every three or four days or they dry out. Then it takes three to five cleaning cycles to 'em going again. PITA POS**2.
Muddy printouts are fixed by: 1. lots of cleaning cycles 2. using harder paper 3. buying a better printer. <== our solution.
