I'm running a g3 dt headless as a music server, controlling it from my iBook with Timbuktu. It has worked marvelously for several weeks. Last night I moved several large files across the network from it to my iBook and all was going well until it was almost through, when the file transfer suddenly became very slow. It finished, however.
Now, though, the video on the G3 is incredibly slow. Each redraw takes about 30 seconds. It seems to be working normally otherwise; that is, if I click on a song in iTunes and hit play, the song is selected and played right away and sounds fine...only the redraw is slow. Timbuktu seems to be behaving normally; the mouse moves normally (always just a little jerky, no different now.)
I've restarted both machines with no effect. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Nothing was touched (literally) hardware-wise.
Thanks,
Travis
