Len/Everyone, I have a Beige G3 DT. Will a ATA 133 card work for me?
Any Mac compatable ATA will work in a beige EXCEPT there have been various reports of there being problems with the Sonnet Trio (ATA 133, USB and Firewire on one card) having some problems. I THINK that the new versions have fixed this, but check with this list and Sonnet (and buy from a dealer with a good return policy) if you go this route.
Not the Trio problem with Rev 3 G3's has not been resolved.
This from sonnet's web site:
"Beige Power Macintosh G3 Minitower and Desktop machines with a revision 3 logic board may experience incompatibility issues with the Trio card. Sonnet is currently working to resolve this issue; check back here periodically for updates. To determine your machine's logic board revision, check the ROM revision information listed in Apple System Profiler; if it is $77D.45F2, your machine has a revision 3 logic board."
