Thanks again,

>I needed to get the files off of the Maxtor so that it could beinitialized (per SIIG instruction), so I hooked the 6 GB drive to it, initialized it and then copied the files from the 80 to the 6...I set the 6 as the startup. I then installed the 6 gb drive back to the motherboard connections and the 80 Maxtor to the SIIG card.
I can not get the machine to recognize the 80 gb drive nor will the 6 gb boot.
How can I get the Maxtor to work? What am I doing wrong?
You need to keep the 6 gig on the Siig card. The drivers that the OS installs when drives are hooked to a ata card are different then when the card is on the built in ATA bus. If you format the drive on the Siig, your mac can not see it when it is on the built in ata.
In short, have both drives hooked to the Siig card and you will be fine.
