AOL posted this on one of its pop up windows:

"Mac users sometimes think they're safer from viruses just because they're on
a Mac. And though most viruses target Windows machines, that doesn't mean
you're invulnerable"

Please read this article it seems that OS X in more vulnerable to viruses
because of the Unix interface. I am getting a little nervous now that I've
upgraded to OS X. I've never used an antivirus since 1992 and that was because I
was in high school (viruses were running like crazy in the school macs) Do I
have to worry about an antivirus expense (something that used to be unnecesary
for home)? [ironically] Geez, one more expense to add to the list of computer
supplies. Disinfectant is long gone and there is no freebies anymore. Can
someone read and post their thoughts?
