The problem is that they are not being decoded back into a file when received. Eudora doesn't understand that it is an attachment. (If it did, it would strip it out of the message and create the file in its attachments folder.) >The following appears after the person's message: > >Content-Type: application/rtf; > name="HRT for Anne.rtf" >Content-Disposition: inline; > filename="HRT for Anne.rtf" This is supposed to be an "inline" attachment, i.e. it's intended to be displayed in the mailer, not saved as a separate file. (For which the line would be "Content-Disposition: attachment;".) Most likely this is from Outlook. Maybe you can ask the sender exactly how they are "attaching" the file. Maybe they're pasting it into the message. Ask if your correspondent has any attachment settings they can twiddle. It may be possible to recover the attachment externally. Copy all the message, including the code, paste into a new file. Then drop it on Aladdin Expander and see if it can work it out. If that doesn't work, try the newsgroup <news:/comp.mail.eudora.mac> or via <http://groups.google.com/groups?group=comp.mail.eudora.mac> I use Eudora 3 too, it's pretty old, doesn't do HTML mail properly -- which is a feature, as that's almost always spam. -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
