(As I explained this in an earlier message)  Saving as text, then  decode
that using Aladdin Expander usually works. This converts the text back to
the original binary (jpeg, doc, whatever). If that works, you can delete
the text file.

The email transport protocol chokes on binaries so they have to be coded
into text, the translation to and from the attached file ideally is
transparent to the user, but sometimes it's not and you have to do it
explicitly.
