Re: B&W G3 Stability issues

I find these posts very interesting, because I'm running my 300 mhz B&W 
G3 at 450 mhz with absolutely *NO* problems at all. I attached a 486 
CPU fan to the heat sink and it runs at a steady 32 degrees celsius. 
I've had one crash that I can think of, and it was iTunes 4 related. 
But iT4 has crashed my system even before it was overclocked.

Guess I got lucky with this one. Anyone need a 300 mhz jumper block? :)

It was the overclocked CPU. I overclocked my G3 400 to 450. The system 
runs at 36 degrees at 400 MHz and 40 degrees at 450 MHz. I guess the 
problem got worse with the additional hard drives I installed. 
Possibly more work for the CPU or higher temperatures.

I understand no one was loosing any sleep about my daily lockups. Just 
wanted to post my resolution.

OVERCLOCK ==  BAD (in my case)
