Jim: As long as you've done the calculus OK. I have a 7300 with a 100bt card in it too. And when the RAM is interleaved on these things there is a real jump in happening things. But as for whether throughput goes up with a G3, I don't really know. The question is: Where is the bottleneck? Does throughput improve with RAM, with cache, with the processor, or with system software? I note that on the PCI list, there was some discussion about the XLR8 with a carrier card and jacking the bus speed up. I suspect that is done with XLR8 software tho.
