The iMic is a miracle worker! My wife recorded some old tapes on to Sony MiniDisk. I got the iMic and a program called Audio X (www.versiontracker.com). It's not as feature filled as some of the other s/w in the responses to this post, but it got the job done. I used a mini headphone plug to go from the MD to the iMic. It makes the sounds files .mov files. I put them in iTunes and convert them to MP3. Now she listens to them on her iPod.

I have a G4 Dual 867 (mirrors) with maxed memory and

very old tape recordings to CD thru the G4; however, I'm at
a bit of a loss. What additional hardware and software
would you all recommend for this project? Thanks for the
reply!
