Is it possible to boot it into OS9 (not classic) and run software update and see what it wants? The OS9 should be OS 9.2.2 or it won't necessarily find the firmware update need.

I think it has had the firmware updates, I am sure I did it when I was
playing with eggdrop irc bots ages ago. Couldn't say for certain though.
