OK, so modify this to running Disk Utility off 10.3 install CD, which you'll be booted off of anyhow because of pending install. Good point. Also, I know that it says you can repair permissions while booted off hard drive, but as an old time Mac user I always default to running off a CD for this type thing... Old habits are hard to break... ;)

Permissions repair can be run on the booted drive, no need to boot from the CD for this.
