Looking for a printer which will work in OS 9, Jag and Panther.
Currently have an Epson Sylus Photo 700 (USB/Serial 6 colour/B&W inkjet) but, despite being supported by Gimp Print, it won't print under X. I'm not "sold" on Epson, but...
Any suggestions? Real-world experience preferred. And yes, please, I do want to retain OS 9 compatability...at least for now -;)
I recently bought an HP 5850. It has OS X and OS 9 drivers. Interfaces are USB, 10/100BaseT and 802.11b (wireless). I bought it because of the network interface, a rare item these days.
Printouts are very nice. I've installed the drivers in OS X.2.8, 9.1 and (Cough) Win98. It prints well from each.
